The Guide

Set your hours.

Diary, HoursPractice owners

Tell OS when each diary is open, as regular weekly hours or date by date, and that is what the booking page and Amy offer.

Steps

  1. In the Diary, press Hours, or open Hours beneath Diary in the rail.
  2. If you have more than one diary, pick the one you are setting at the top: each place has its own hours.
  3. For regular hours, turn on the switch that says the place has the same hours every week, type each day the way you would say it, for example 9-5 or 9-11am, 1-5pm, and press Save the week.
  4. To change one date, click it in the month, type its hours or press Closed all day, then press Save, or press Every and the weekday to set the rest of the month the same.
  5. To put a date back to the regular hours, open it and press Follow the week.

Questions

Do I need a weekly rota? No. Day by day is the default: leave the weekly switch off and set the dates in the month. Saving the week with the switch off clears any repeating hours, so only the dates you set can be booked.
How do I know OS read my hours right?Beside each field it shows what it understood, for example 9:00am to 5:00pm, Closed or Not a time, before you save.
Does changing my hours move booked clients? No. Held time and anything already booked stay where they are, on top of the new hours.
